Gurpreet Kaur is an undergraduate student currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. She graduated with honors and obtained an Associate’s degree in Science Engineering from the College of Southern Maryland, La Plata in 2018. She received the “Outstanding Mathematics Student” award in recognition of sustained superior academic performance. She is one of the very few female students to receive this prestigious award from her college. She aspires to become a renowned environmental engineer and work towards initiatives that are beneficial for the environment.

In her free time, she likes to play with her nephews and spend time outdoors.
